EurekaThe fourth season of Eureka kicks off tonight.Quick primer; after WW2, Albert Einstein suggested to the president that the greatest resource mankind has, is it's intelligence. Thus, Eureka was born. A small town in the heartland of America, acting as a safehaven for great minds. There geniuses from all walks of life were allowed to work with out limits and with unlimited budget, with a company called Global Dynamics created to serve as a front for their work. After US Marshall Jack Carter has an accident outside of town, while transporting his delinquent daughter, he becomes involved with a series of events that land him as the new sheriff of Eureka. I hate to interrupt, but we have bigger issues at hand. Time is unraveling. The laws of physics are breaking down. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's the kind of thing that's not gonna stop at the city limits, is it? - Henry Deacon After a cheery start, the first season of Eureka ended in a darker note. The finale took place over three years after the events of season 1, showing how sheriff Carter had adapted to his new life in Eureka, his daughter excelling in school, and he had fallen in love and married Allison Blake, now expecting their first child. But when strange anomalies around town reveal that Henry Deacon had used illegal technology to change the timeline, saving the woman he loved, someone had to go back and fix things. Realising what has to be done, Jack holds his wife one last time, whispering to her "There is no time... no space... no way that we don't end up together", before stepping in to the time vortex, waking up three years earlier, having erased all that he had achieved in those years. After Jack stopped Henry from saving the only woman he has ever loved, the season ended in an entirely different mood it had started with. The second season took the lighthearted sci fi comedy to an even darker direction. Jack wrestles with the pain of future memories, until Henry offers to remove them, leaving Jack to resume his life, while Henry carries a crudge for all that has happened. As the series progresses, darker and darker events take place, the consipracy threatening Eureka tightens, all events finally leading to a hostage situation at Global Dynamics. With very few details known about the third season, apart from a few new characters, the producers have promised that the new season will tone down on the on going arc and will focus more on brighter stand alone episodes, keeping with the original theme of the show. 12:41 - 2008-Jul-30 - post comment

I've watched an episode or two of this, and I did like it but I never remember to watch series(es) on TV
